Welcome back New Tech
We have had a fantastic two weeks back. Students, teachers, support staff, and the Sac New Tech community are renewing old relations, building new connection, and working everyday to create amazing experiences at New Tech for everyone.
We have three amazing people joining our team. Each of these individuals is committed to helping kids and adding value to the New Tech culture. If you get a chance to have a conversation with any of them, I encourage you to ask them about their story and what draws them to New Tech.
- Maestra Estela joins SNTHS as our new Spanish teacher.
- Paolo Legaspi will be our new Special Education teacher and arrives in the US next week.
- Hugo Hernandez is the new face in our front office and serves as our Parent Advisor & Office Clerk.
New Tech promotes a culture of reflection and one area we know we can do better is communication. In an effort to keep you informed, we are committed to make sure that we do such a great job with our calendar that families begin to rely on it as accurate and up-to-date. The majority of the year is already mapped out on the calendar, and we will add to it as soon as events get planned and approved. Check out our Calendar now!
Don’t forget, Back-to-school night is this Thursday at 6PM at New Tech. Come see what your kids have been learning. Bring your questions. Also, North Border Taco will be at the school selling food for families that need a dinner option.
An area we will focus on this year is not only keeping parents informed, but also engaged. Throughout the year we will host events intended to help parents with navigating high school, preparing for college, and providing support when we can. One area that families have asked for help with is information on paying for college. As a result, we have 4 family sessions as part of the Pathways Program. Join us on these nights to begin to demystify the college funding process:
- August 22
- September 12
- October 10
- November 14
All sessions are from 6:30 – 7:30 at New Tech. There are also 8 sessions for students to help them with the process, please check the calendar for these after school sessions. For more information, please contact email@example.com.

Student Activities & Clubs
Our Aca Deca Team is already hard at work. The Forestry Challenge Crew is getting ready for another great adventure. This past Saturday 25 of our courageous learners began the first of their 8 three-hour sessions working with Kaplan to get ready for the October SAT. We will have another group of 25 students working with Kaplan for the May SAT.
Ask your child how they are connecting to our school, and if they have an idea for a club ask them to speak up. We want New Tech to amaze, and two-way communication will help us do just that.
Thank you for trusting us with your kids. We know that you could send your kids to a number of places. We appreciate that you trust us to help your kids grow and prepare for life after high school. Thank you!
