About Kenneth Durham
Kenneth Durham is principal of Sacramento New Tech High School, located in the Sacramento City Unified School District and a member of the New Tech Network. Kenneth is a graduate of the University of California, Davis where he received a B.A. in geology. After graduation, Kenneth spent a couple of years working as a professional baseball umpire in Minor League Baseball before beginning an eight-year career as a secondary science teacher who infused technology and PBL principles into his classroom. During his final year in the classroom, Kenneth was honored as the Twin Rivers Unified Secondary Teacher of the Year. He then transitioned from the classroom into administration and spent the last four years working as an assistant principal and recently graduated from Northcentral University, where he received a M.Ed. in educational leadership. Kenneth and the Sacramento New Tech team look forward to creating an environment where students, staff, parents, and community partners are amazed, passions are ignited, and students graduate equipped to travel the path in front of them.
